SALON BOAT "PARADIS" 2 - 12 PERSONS
From the turn of the last century until the thirties,
these so-called “salon boats” were built in Friesland and the western
provinces if the Netherlands. They were held in high esteem by their former upperclass
owners: Barristers, Doctors and Notaries. For them, Salon Boats were the ideal
means of transportation between clients, courts, office and home. In weekends,
the ships doubled as an elegant pastime, usually enjoyed in the company of a select
few guests. As such, Salon Boats were a symbol of status and wealth.

Through the years,
Salon Boats have retained their appeal for those who wish to pass the time on
the water in elegant fashion. Adapted to the demands of today, Paradis essentially
does what she has done since 1920: provide entertainment on the water in style!
An extensive restaurization project has equipped the Paradis with all the current
comforts: Hi-fi, central heating and a fully furbished bar. The roomy aft-deck
is covered with a detachable roof. The professional skipper will double as your
guide and will gladly share historic details of the city.
